Web Site Design VS Web Site Usability
When you are creating or updating your website you must take into consideration the site design and usability. All too often this is overlooked which leads to a fabulous site that can not be navigated or a usable site that is bland.
A website design should captivate the visitor’s attention but be easy to use. A search box should be placed for easy navigation and searches, if possible, should not turn up long lists of info to go through but to a simple link or page. People that find the usability of a site too hard will leave without buying and will not return.
Creating the perfect balance between design and usability does not have to be hard. You can make an impact without being over complicated.
Once your site is up, track the information carefully right from the start:
- How many visits?
- How many internal searches?
- Look to see what is being said about your site on the SM networks.
If there are problems with your site you will find it here.
Website design and usability can achieve a perfect balance when you take the time to adjust the site to fit the needs of your customers.
